Are we a crisis line? We are not a crisis line. Can youth be admitted? Youth clients (under 19) must be referred to detox by an alcohol and drug counsellor. Is the program voluntary? Phoenix Centre™ is a voluntary program; we do not hold people against their will or comfort. However, once admitted you will be expected to participate in all aspects of the program. Passes are only allowed for the purpose of treatment planning. For the comfort of everyone, no visitors are allowed. How do I access the program? You can refer yourself to our detox program, unless you are on the Methadone Maintenance Program; then you need a referral from the Methadone clinic, alcohol and drug counsellor or Methadone prescribing doctor. How often is staff on site? We have staff on duty twenty-four hours a day. How long is the detox program? We are a short stay detox only. Clients stay an average of five days. We do not have a twenty-eight day program at our facility. Appointments prior to Detox? Before admission, court dates and appointments must be rescheduled, as you will not be able to attend while you are in detox. Phones and Banking We are unable to provide change for the pay phone or access to any bank machines.
